Note:Unless otherwise specified, classes are for adults only and last 8 (summer and winter sessions) or 10 (spring and fall sessions) weeks.

How to Register

Register for classes in person, or by mail. Please note: For semester length classes, only the actual class tuition is to be paid to the DC Department of Parks and Recreation. Any materials or studio fees are paid directly to the instructors.

To register by mail: Send a check or money order made payable to "DC Department of Parks and Recreation" to: Guy Mason Center 3600 Calvert Street, NW Washington, DC 20007 Be sure to include a note listing: your name your telephone number (so we can contact you to complete the registration process) your address The class for which you are registering (class name, day, time). Please note: Classes are filled on a first-come first-served basis, and class sizes are limited. We suggest that you call to confirm that there are still openings in the class(es) in which you are interested before you mail your payment. 202-282-2180 When your check or money order is received, if there is still space available in the class, you will be added to the student list, and your enrollment in the class will be secure. You will still need to fill out a registration form when you come to class in order to complete the registration process.

To register in person: Stop by the office at: The Guy Mason Center 3600 Calvert St, NW Monday - Friday: 9 am - 9 pm Saturday 9 am - 4pm (The Center is closed on Sunday.)

Registration Procedures, Fees & Policies

Classes with material fees: Pottery $45.00 payable to ‘Summer Frane" Music Together $33.00 + payable to ‘Little Steps’ Spanish $ 5.00 payable to ‘Maria Gomez’ Non-Resident Fees A surcharge for non-residents of DC is reflected in the tuition fees listed in the class schedule. It is the 2nd number given under “Tuition” in the schedule. For classes under $100.00, a fee of $5.00 has been added; over $100.00, the tuition fee has been raised $10.00

Inclement Weather Policy

Classes and events are all subject to cancellation due to inclement weather. To learn the status of events or classes call the GMC Recorded Information Line at 1202.282.2180. This line is updated throughout the day as necessary.
